GAVI reported that, “in the face of a severe humanitarian crisis, the government of Yemen will introduce rotavirus vaccine, supported by GAVI and its partners, with an aim to vaccinate the one million children born each year. Prof. Ahmad Qasim Al-A’nsi, Minister of Public Health and Population of Yemen, commented, “These tools are vital if we want to protect the children of Yemen from such deadly diseases. We aim to reach all children of Yemen especially in remote communities.”
