PATH announced the appointment of Amie Batson to the newly created position of chief strategy officer. Ms. Batson is currently senior deputy assistant administrator for global health with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington, DC. Her 20-year career in global health includes positions with the World Bank, the World Health Organization, and UNICEF. Ms. Batson will have responsibility for helping guide PATH’s strategy, strengthening its partnerships and business relationships in the global health community, and contributing to PATH’s advocacy and policy priorities.
